数十年前に鹿児島へ行った際に購入しました。
食器として使用はせず数年ガラスボートに飾っていました。
その後は箱に入れて暗所で保管していました。
長く自宅保管なので「未使用に近い」にしました。

Satsuma Kiriko is a glasswork that was born in the Satsuma domain at the end of the Edo period. The unique gradation called “Bokashi”, which is created when cutting “Irokise glass”, which is a transparent glass covered with colored glass, is attractive. Satsuma Kiriko with gradation.
Colored glass on top of transparent glass is called "colored glass", and by scraping off the colored glass, the cut ends are colored and transparent. The exquisite gradation that appears there is the gradation that is the most attractive feature of Satsuma Kiriko. The Satsuma clan was the first to succeed in this technology in Japan.
